only got about 98000 miles on it so like i said its in excellent condition inly the 3 rd owner after my mother and a preacher man lol

Question is- do you wanna work on it? If so replace the plugs ,dist cap, plug wires and rotor. You can get these for about what you get the thing scanned for. These eliminate a lot of "age" problems right off the bat. Vacuum lines will drive a computer nuts, but are a little harder to find. Does the vent and defroster control still change like it should? I'm not sure about what effect this model had on the ignition. If you don't want to work on it , then ask folks you know for a good garage. PS you might try raising the hood at night, sometimes , if it is bad enough, you can see the arc from a shorted plug wire.

If you have a plug wire that has shorted out, the spark that should be going to the spark plug is going somewhere else. Sometimes you can see where in the dark, raise the hood and start the car. If you see the spark it isn't going where it should.

how hard is it to change a plug if that is the case? i mean for an inexperienced novice like myself
